Peter's Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC), Kingsland campus is looking to hire a part time receptionist/administrative assistant.
As an administrative assistant, you are responsible for several aspects of day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Reports directly to the Director.
Answer the phone and assist staff, parents and visitors.
Assist ECDC staff in any way needed.
Maintain copies of all forms; do general copying and filing as needed.
Maintain family and staff email addresses for communication.
Assist in communication with families and staff through a monthly email (and other forms of communication) and as needed.
Assist in communication with families and staff by copying and distributing notices of contagious illnesses.
File and maintain confidential student reports (e.
g.
, incident/accident, custody).
Maintain attendance sheets, including staff training and emergency drills.
Appoints Teacher Support for weekly health and safety checklist.
Print and distribute weekly parent sign-in sheets and monthly attendance sheets.
Review daily attendance folders.
Contact ECDC families as needed when the child's family has not reported the child's absence.
Mail prayer cards to families experiencing a birth, major injury or illness or death in the family.
Write thank you notes on behalf of ECDC or the office.
Maintain a record of new staff observations and staff training hours.
Prepare and file training certificates.
Maintain and assist the Director with NAEYC Program portfolio.
Assist with registration.
Process forms at registration, beginning of the school year, and throughout the year.
Assist with tuition payments and collections.
Helps with inquiries and payments as needed.
Check log ins or inquiries on issued checks.
Assist with purchases and inventories of materials and resources.
Attend monthly staff meetings and administrative meetings.
Pick up mail daily.
Obtain minimum and appropriate training according to Texas Minimum Standards and NAEYC requirements and assigned training by the director to enhance and support your role.
These hours exclude first aid and CPR, orientation, and pre-service training.
Qualifications:
A four-year degree is preferred.
Experience of general office procedures, office management, and computer/software applications (e.
g.
, MS Office, Google docs, ProCare, Classtag).
Experience in early childhood is preferred in this work environment.
This person must be able to relate well with both children and adults.
Terms of Agreement:
10 months beginning August to May.
Days per week:
4 days per week, Monday-Thursday, Friday if needed.
Hours per day:
a minimum of 6.
5 hours per day beginning at 8:
30 AM - 3:

Peter's ECDC, Kingsland Campus Summer schedule:
As needed, summer hours based on the approved summer salary rate.
