The Blow Mold Process Engineering Specialist will establish and improve blow mold processes; troubleshoot problems, take corrective action, eliminate and/or reduce waste and improve quality.
Essential Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provides support to management and production to improve process flow and implement process improvement.
Identifies and records any problems relating to the product process in blow mold production area.
Troubleshoots complex problems on Blow Mold machine and takes corrective actions.
Analyzes manufacturing and machine data for opportunities to improve blow mold processes; recommends improvements and assists in continuously improving efficiencies.
Works closely with Production Supervisors and Operations personnel to achieve and maintain departmental goals.
Maintains and improves production efficiency levels and metrics for operations.
Maintains and improves safety and quality (safety devices, guarding equipment, spare parts list, set-up instructions, and troubleshooting protocol.
Supports Manufacturing Department on New Product Development Trials Develops and/or certifies equipment processing, start-up, and maintenance instructions.
Provides direction and/or training to Technicians, Mold Setters, Material Handlers Participates in and supports Igloo Lean Sigma program.
Facilitates samples for the Sales, Quality and Marketing group.
Prepares reports and data collection as directed by immediate supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements and
Qualifications:
Education:
Degree from a two-year college or technical school and one year experience on Blow Mold Process equipment with one head and double head or single and duo extruders; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
Experience working on Graham, Sterling, or Milacron Blow Mold machines Flexibility to working at different shift and weekends English language skills:
Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
Math skills:
Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Physical Demands:
General office and manufacturing environment.
Able to perform jobs on shop floor.
Work environment:
Manufacturing environment is hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months.
Computer Skills:
Basic Excel skills.
Preferred

Knowledge of SMED Key Competencies:
Basic Ergonomics and Anthropometrics Principles.
Process analysis and hands-on corrective action.
